G	Gerda Heffels on Google ★ ★ ★ ★ ★ Wat een heerlijk en sfeervolle aanwinst voor Grave. Gelegen in het prachtige arsenaal met mooie oude accenten. Binnentuin en restaurant en vriendelijke bediening. Heerlijk gegeten en totaal geen probleem met glutenvrij. We hadden het 5 gangen verrassingsmenu met bijpassende wijn arrangement voor de andere tafelgasten. Zeer aan te bevelen. Wij hebben in de avond met het heerlijke weer buiten gegeten en je waant je in een andere omgeving.....de rust en de sfeervolle verlichting en knapperend houtsvuur hebben daar zeker aan bij gedragen. Aanrader!!!! What a wonderful and atmospheric asset to Grave. Located in the beautiful arsenal with lovely old touches. Courtyard garden and restaurant and friendly service. Delicious food and no problem at all with gluten free. We had the 5 course surprise menu with matching wine package for the other table guests. Highly recommend. We ate outside in the evening with the lovely weather and you imagine yourself in a different environment ..... the tranquility and the atmospheric lighting and crackling wood fire have certainly contributed to this. Recommended!!!!
W	Willem Janssen on Google ★ ★ ★ ★ ★ Zondagmiddag geluncht in het nieuwe prachtige restaurant Ovum. We hadden nogal wat aparte wensen die niet op de lunch kaart stonden maar wel op de diner kaart. Kok Sebastián kwam zelf bij ons aan tafel en het bleek dat alles mogelijk was. Hij heeft voor ons een fantastische lunch bereid. Vooraf een fantastische halve kreeft perfect gegaard Thermidor en met geclarificeerde boter met een herrlijke riesling uit de Elzas. Daarna een overheerlijke zeetong met een zalige salade. Het nagerecht van het huis ( ovum nidum) is een kunstwerk op het bord en een explosie van smaken. Ook de kazen waren formidabel. Ik had aangegeven niet van geitenkaas te houden maar op zijn advies moest ik absoluut de cabricharme proberen. Kok Sebastiaan had volkomen gelijk. Wat een prachtige kaas. Vanwege aparte wensen kwam kok Sebastiaan steeds informeren of alles naar wens was geweest. Ook de bediening was perfect Ovum is een stijlvol en fantastisch restaurant zowel de inrichting binnen als het terras buiten getuigt van een zeer verfijnde smaak Willem Janssen Nijmegen. Sunday afternoon lunch in the new beautiful restaurant Ovum. We had quite a few special wishes that weren't on the lunch menu but were on the dinner menu. Chef Sebastián himself came to our table and it turned out that anything was possible. He prepared a fantastic lunch for us. First a fantastic half lobster perfectly cooked Thermidor and with clarified butter and a delicious Riesling from Alsace. Then a delicious sole with a delicious salad. The house dessert (ovum nidum) is a work of art on the plate and an explosion of flavours. The cheeses were also formidable. I had indicated that I did not like goat cheese but on his advice I absolutely had to try the cabricharme. Cook Sebastian was absolutely right. What a beautiful cheese. Because of special wishes, cook Sebastiaan always came to inquire whether everything had been to your liking. The service was also perfect Ovum is a stylish and fantastic restaurant, both the interior and the terrace outside bear witness to a very refined taste Willem Janssen Nijmegen.
S	Sjoerd Holders on Google ★ ★ ★ ★ ★ Echt heel erg genoten vanavond. Enthousiaste mensen die weten wat ze doen, leuke wijnen maar vooral het eten was gewoon heel heel erg goed. Verrassingsmenu 3 gangen gehad, mooie smaken en combinaties. Absolute aanrader. Really really enjoyed tonight. Enthusiastic people who know what they are doing, nice wines but above all the food was just very very good. Surprise menu had 3 courses, nice flavors and combinations. Definitely recommended.
I	Iris van Gestel on Google ★ ★ ★ ★ ★ Erg lekker gegeten bij Ovum. Elke gang was genieten, de gerechten waren erg origineel en creatief en elk gerecht was een genot om naar te kijken en om te eten. Ik heb het gangendiner gekozen. Dit is zeker een aanrader. Het wijnarrangement pastte goed bij de gerechten. Vooral de dessertwijn was lekker! De bediening was erg vriendelijk. Ze vonden het belangrijk dat alles naar wens was en zorgden hier ook voor. Ik kom zeker nog een keer terug! Had a very nice meal at Ovum. Every course was a pleasure, the dishes were very original and creative and every dish was a pleasure to look at and to eat. I chose the course dinner. This is definitely recommended. The wine pairing paired well with the dishes. Especially the dessert wine was delicious! The service was very friendly. They thought it was important that everything was to your liking and ensured this. I will definitely come back again!

L	Levy H on Google ★ ★ ★ ★ ★ Subliem gegeten! Smaaksensatie. De porties zijn wel heel klein. Bij culinair eten hoort dit maar hier was het bij sommige gerechten zeer extreem. Het brood had ook vaker aangeboden kunnen worden. We kregen het 1 keer en dan 1 broodje. Het broodje was wederom heel lekker en de bijbehorende verschillende botersooten waren heerlijk. We kregen geen water aangeboden terwijl we wel wijn bestelden. Dit was jammer want er stonden wel waterglazen op tafel. De wijnen waren heerlijk en pasten perfect bij de gerechten. Het zou goed zijn, als dit restaurant tot de top wil behoren, om de bediening op te leiden in goede wijnpresentatie (kennis van de wijn en hoe serveer je een wijn). De bediening was vriendelijk maar soms onwenning. Je merkt dat ze niet lang open zijn. De coronamaatregelen werden niet zo nauw genomen (gasten liepen zonder mondkapje of half op, de bediening bedekte niet de neus of zat met de handen steeds aan het mondkapje). Al met al als het gaat om de smaak, de locatie en de vernieuwing in deze regio zeer de moeite waard om deze restaurant te bezoeken! Sublime meal! Taste sensation. The portions are very small though. This is part of culinary food, but here it was very extreme with some dishes. The bread could also have been offered more often. We got it 1 time and then 1 sandwich. The sandwich was again very tasty and the accompanying different butters were delicious. We were not offered water even though we did order wine. This was a shame because there were water glasses on the table. The wines were delicious and paired perfectly with the dishes. It would be good, if this restaurant wants to be among the top, to train the waiters in good wine presentation (knowledge of the wine and how to serve a wine). The service was friendly but at times unaccustomed. You notice that they are not open long. The corona measures were not taken so closely (guests walked without a mouth cap or half up, the service did not cover the nose or was always on the mouth cap with their hands). All in all, when it comes to the taste, the location and the renewal in this region, very much worth visiting this restaurant!

De presentatie van de gerechten is mooi en soms verrassend. De porties zijn wel klein. Voor de stevige trek zou er wat meer brood bij geserveerd kunnen worden. Good food in a beautiful ambiance. The wines deserve praise: beautiful wines for a reasonable price. The service is casual but ok. The presentation of the dishes is beautiful and sometimes surprising. The portions are small though. For a strong appetite, some more bread could be served with it.

Great dishes, original and beautiful taste. I gave a 4 stars review because the service is not yet on the same level. Friendly but far from perfect. They forgot to serve one of our wines dit example
