β β β β β Easily one of the best places to eat authentic Surinamese food in Amsterdam. The food never fails to deliver; so yummy and friendly on the pocket too! :)

β β β β β Great tasting surinamese indonesian food. Great prices and big portions. Family friendly casual dining. Must try the fried plantains and beef sates ?

β β β β β Love the nasi with chicken sate! Also like the bakabana. Haven't tried the other dishes, but my sister always eats the bami nasi and she oves that fish too. Only minor thing is that you sometimes have to wait really long when it's busy. Which means people love the food so that is why it's busy. :)

β β β β β Poor quality food and the old lady behind the counter is extremely rude.
They didn't tell me there would be extra charges for vegetables, nor that both vegetables world be two separate orders. Stay away people. Its not worth it.

β β β β β Went here a year ago and it was quite okay, but got takeaway from here tonight and it was pretty bad: the sate chicken skewers were very chewy and not tasty at all. You could tell these were old skewers that they just reheated. The bami was so-so but again you could tell that it was reheated and we were being served leftovers from lunch or even from the day before. Not going back here again. Plenty of much better options for great Surinamese food in Amsterdam Zuidoost (P&G for instance).

β β β β β Looks like a cafeteria and the wait is long. The number system doesn't add to the lack of atmosphere. But you can always take out. Having said that, it's halal and inexpensive good Surinamese-Indonesian food.

β β β β β Very spacious restaurant with comfortable seating. When we visited on a late Saturday afternoon it was busy with both eat in and takeaway customers. Kitchen staff seemed to struggle, waiting times were long and people started to complain. Having said that, when we got our food (nasi rames) after about 40 minutes it was very tasty and both my Indonesian friend and I enjoyed it.
Staff are very friendly and speak English and it's very reasonably priced. Hopefully waiting times aren't always as long but I'd definitely go again anyway.
