★ ★ ★ ★ ★ Utrecht city is unique, from modern building , shopping to be in the old town. So many people and many activities. Great place to spent time. On the city canal old warehouses are converted into restaurants, one of them be one of the best known pancake restaurant. On the menu there are so many sweet and savoury pancake dishes to choose from. Prepared in old iron casted pan, they are all a real treat to enjoy. Excellent service. They even feature a playground for the kids. Highly recommended

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ Very very slow service but it’s cool that it’s in the old storage tunnels! And sitting on the canal in the sun was also nice. Pancakes were good but hygiene standards were very low - they served the pancakes on large plates and when she brought it out she had each plate stacked on top of each other so the bottom of the plate was touching the pancake and food on the below plate... not very sanitary. Bathrooms were also very smelly and not clean.

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ Loved the Dutch pancakes, it much like a crepe. Very filling and we enjoyed the table by the canal.
Had the bacon, cheese and mushrooms, while my friends had the chicken thighs in satay and green beans. Others had broke cheese with walnuts and the pull chicken. All were very good
Good selection of savory and sweet items on the menu.

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ Staff is friendly, but are either too busy or not attentive. We had to get up and find someone, which they were just talking and forgot to check up on us. Aside from that, the food is nice and filling. Look for the “De Oude Muntkelder” sign if you’re having difficulty finding the restaurant - it will lead you down the canal stairs.
