Nicely landscaped paved hiking parking space. Starting point for a few small but beautiful routes that can also be combined. No catering on the routes.

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ Prachtige wandelplek in Friesland, ik schat dat er zo'n 10 auto's kunnen parkeren. Schitterende wandeling rond het ven mogelijk, duurt een uurtje, hondjes aan de lijn ivm vrij lopende paarden.
Beautiful hiking spot in Friesland, I estimate that about 10 cars can park. Beautiful walk around the fen possible, takes an hour, dogs on a leash because of free-running horses.

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ Heel leuk natuurgebied wat door de eeuwen heen nooit gecultiveerd is, je krijgt denk ik een goede indruk van het oorspronkelijke Friesland.
Er staat een soort plaggenhuisje waar ik verder weinig info over kon vinden en was nog wel benieuwd wat het idee daar achter was, Fryske Gea zou hier wellicht nog wat meer over uit kunnen wijden. Het was rustig waardoor wij er goed konden parkeren, ik kan mij indenken dat in drukke periodes wat krap is wat dat betreft.
Very nice nature reserve which has never been cultivated over the centuries, I think you get a good impression of the original Friesland.
There is a kind of turf house about which I could find little information and I was still curious about the idea behind it, Fryske Gea could perhaps elaborate a bit more about this. It was quiet, so we could park well, I can imagine that during busy periods it is a bit tight.
