★ ★ ★ ★ ★ Der Einstieg in eine große Anzahl von Rundwanderwgen. Der prominenteste ist mit Sicherheit der Premiumwanderweg "Galgenvenn". Dieser ist nicht nur meiner Meinung nach einer der schönsten Rundwanderwege am Niederrhein. Mit einer Länge von etwa 11 km ist er nicht ganz kurz und man sollte schon drei bis vier Stunden Zeit einplanen.
Der Parkplatz an der Waldgaststätte "Galgenveen" ist leider nicht sehr groß und bei schönem Wetter gerade am Wochenende schnell voll bzw. übervoll. Es gibt aber einige Parkmöglichkeiten sowohl auf dem direkten Weg dort hin als auch an anderen Einstiegspunkten. Dazu einfach mal das Internet befragen. Das schönste Wandererlebnis hat man natürlich abseits der "Stoßzeiten", wenn man den Weg nur mit wenigen anderen teilen muss, also am besten nicht gerade an einem sonnigen Ferienwochenende.

In my opinion, this is not only one of the most beautiful circular hiking trails on the Lower Rhine. With a length of about 11 km, it is not very short and you should plan three to four hours.
The parking lot at the forest restaurant "Galgenveen" is unfortunately not very large and, if the weather is nice, quickly becomes full or overcrowded, especially on weekends. However, there are some parking spaces both on the direct route there and at other entry points. Just ask the internet. The most beautiful hiking experience is, of course, off-peak times when you only have to share the route with a few others, so preferably not on a sunny holiday weekend.

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ Sehr, sehr schönes Wandergebiet im Deutsch-Niederländischen Grenzgebiet. Hier ist es deutlich hügeliger als man erwartet :-) Leider ist der Parkplatz an schönen Herbsttagen, wie letzten Sonntag, hoffnungslos überlastet! Es wird am Straßenrand geparkt - in alle Richtungen. Wenn man dann aber einen Platz gefunden hat, erwartet einen ein tolles Naturerlebnis.
Very, very beautiful hiking area in the German-Dutch border area. Here it is much more hilly than expected :-) Unfortunately, the parking lot is hopelessly overcrowded on beautiful autumn days, like last Sunday! It is parked on the side of the road - in all directions. But when you have found a place, you can expect a great nature experience.
