★ ★ ★ ★ ★ They often forget to smile and to be friendly towards their customers. And the owner idk she makes a very impatient impression in general. That said: Who cares!!! They have the best and most delicious ice cream of the Netherlands <3 No added sugar, artificials etc. The chocolate is also delicious. Def a must go when you are in Leiden.

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ Wow I've haf many ice creams also in Italy, but such goodness and hidden treasure in Leiden is like a miracle. My parents tried their hot chocolate and they were amazed. They even had cucumber ice cream in the summer. I live their cakes and chocolayes too. Pure heaven. Indulge that chocolaty taste.

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ Shortly after you walk through the adorable "gate to Leiden" you walk through brick streets lined with countless cafes, restaurants and boutique shopping stores. One of the first spots you come across is Soetenso and it is certainly one of the best! The confectionery delicacies are absolutely delicious and the staff is extremely helpful and friendly. I highly recommend a pop in to Soetenso for a bag full of goodies!

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ Very delicious and tasty ice cream. I bought rum raisin, my daughter bought coconut, rum and caramel , my son bought vanilla.. all those are nice.
If you visit Leiden , give it a try. You won’t regret it.

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ This is the most brilliant patisserie. It looks like an icecream shop from outside, and yes, their icecream is delicious. But their chocolate is by far the most amazing in Leiden, and their cakes! Their CAKES!
I mean, I really enjoy the classic banket baker's cream cakes and fruit toppings and chipolatas and such, but if you want a fancy Patisserie concoction, please do yourself a favor and get one of the Soetenso cakes. Since the old Patisserie in Oegstgeest closed, I've missed proper layers of exquisite combinations, biscuit bottom, mousse, cake, compote, cream etc in perfect harmony, and Soetenso does it -- chef's kiss. And they have 2012 prices for the end of 2021 right now. Guys, come on. You're Amazing!!!!
