★ ★ ★ ★ ★ ….Een groot aantal van de tentoongestelde schilderijen zijn werken van beeldende kunstenaars, die deelnemen of hebben deelgenomen aan de experimentiele interactionele werkwijze, onderleiding van de docent Patrick Rijs te Ulestraten.
Bovengenoemde werkwijze, afgekort als E.I., is een werkwijze waar de kunstenaars uitgaan van hun emotionele ervaring (experience), die zich aandient en vraagt om uitdrukking.
De uitdrukkingsvorm, interactioneel, is een proces waar de kunstenaar vormen, contrasten, licht en donker tracht te vinden die overeenstemmen met zijn gevoelde ervaring.
De interactie komt tot stand in figuratieve, abstracte, symboliserende en archaïsme beelden, die voor de toeschouwer veelzijdig interpretabel zijn.
Deze werkwijze, ontwikkeld door Patrick Rijs, maakt de kunstenaar vrij om zijn individuele emotionele ervaring uit te drukken, zonder al te zeer gehinderd te worden met allerlei technische opdrachten.
