★ ★ ★ ★ ★ De resten van tufsteen in de kerkmuren wijzen erop dat de eerste stenen kerk er al voor 1200 heeft gestaan. De huidige kerk dateert uit ca. 1300. De kerk is toen namelijk grondig verbouwd en vergroot met baksteen. Er zijn nog sporen aanwezig van vroeggotische vensters.
In 1902 is wegens bouwvalligheid de toren weggebroken en van oude steen een westgevel opgemetseld met daarop een spitstorentje waarin een klok hangt uit 1654. Deze klok is gegoten door Jurjen Balthasar.
 The remains of tuff in the church walls indicate that the first stone church was already there before 1200. The current church dates from around 1300. The church was then thoroughly renovated and enlarged with brick. There are still traces of early Gothic windows.
In 1902, due to dilapidation, the tower was demolished and a west facade was built of old stone with a spire tower in which a clock from 1654 hangs. This clock was cast by Jurjen Balthasar.
