De boerderij ligt zowat in de Lekdijk, dat zal zijn gekomen door de verschillende dijkverzwaringen in het verleden.
Tegenwoordig heet het gebied rondom Schalkwijk Het Eiland van Schalkwijk,
Er is veel te zien op dat Eiland, vooral de forten van de Nieuwe Hollandse Waterlinie trekken veel belangstelling.
Beautifully situated in a bend of the Lekdijk near Schalkwijk.
