After a short search, we ended up at Playgroup De Mus in Amsterdam East. A very nice, educational and fun place for our daughter.

Het buitenspeelterrein is groot en er is veel te doen. Binnen is het heel knus. De ideale plek voor kinderen om rustig te wennen aan spelen, eten en knutselen in groepsverband en om vriendschappen te sluiten. Very nice small-scale playgroup. Due to the small groups (max 8 children) and always two or three teachers, there is a lot of personal attention. The outdoor play area is large and there is a lot to do. Inside it is very cozy. The ideal place for children to get used to playing, eating and tinkering in groups and to make friends.

Waarin alle leidsters en vrijwilligers de kinderen zo liefdevol leren puzzelen, kleuren, de mooiste lampionnen knutselen, fietsen, schommelen, en nog veel meer. Er is veel ruimte voor gewoon lekker spelen, geen verplichte leerpunten en altijd dezelfde gezichten voor de groep. Voor onze 3 kinderen is/was het dé perfecte plek ter voorbereiding op de kleuterschool. De Mus is a great place for children between the ages of 2 and 4. It is an oasis of peace in the busy city. In which all the teachers and volunteers teach the children so lovingly how to puzzle, color, craft the most beautiful lanterns, cycle, swing, and much more. There is a lot of space for just playing, no compulsory learning points and always the same faces for the group. For our 3 children it is / was the perfect place to prepare for kindergarten.

De Mus is een kleinschalige peuterspeelzaal met veel persoonlijke aandacht en een grote buitenspeelplaats, waar ze eindeloos spelen, hutten bouwen, leren fietsen. Het liefst gaat ze er elke dag naar toe! Aanrader! Our daughter Ella has a wonderful time at the Mus! De Mus is a small-scale playgroup with a lot of personal attention and a large outdoor playground, where they play endlessly, build huts and learn to cycle. She prefers to go there every day! Recommended!

De opvang is persoonlijk, kleinschalig en door de grote buitenspeelplaats die direct aan de opvang grenst een waar buitenspeel paradijs voor de kids. Na 1,5 jaar regulier creche staan we elke keer weer versteld van de fijne plek die de Mus is. Er is veel rust en vertrouwen en als er wat is wordt daar altijd rekening mee gehouden. Echt aanrader! How lucky we have found the Sparrow. Our daughter goes there with so much pleasure. The care is personal, small-scale and the large outdoor playground that borders directly on the shelter is a true outdoor play paradise for the kids. After 1.5 years of regular nursery, we are always amazed by the nice place that the Mus is. There is a lot of peace and confidence and if there is something, it is always taken into account. Really recommend!

Onze jongste dochter vindt het helemaal geweldig en wil er het liefst elke dag heen :) Relaxe sfeer, kleinschalig, veel persoonlijke aandacht en een grote buitenspeelplaats. Playgroup De Mus has been recommended to us by friends. Very nice place & highly recommended !! Our youngest daughter loves it and would love to go there every day :) Relaxed atmosphere, small-scale, lots of personal attention and a large outdoor playground.
J	Jeff Taylor on Google ★ ★ ★ ★ ★ Our daughter has been going here for only a few months, but we are absolutely over the moon - it's such a welcoming, care-filled environment which also gives the kids a lot of freedom to explore & play on their own. Our daughter loves it! I suggest reading the website to see their mission and statements on child development - it is really a place operating within a well-thought out and nurturing framework. A big difference from other creches in Amsterdam is that this is actually run by the parents! So as a parent, you are expected to take an active role in making sure this is a good place for our kids to spend time - whether it be looking after the garden occasionally, cleaning the space indoors occasionally, or pitching in to help with admin/hiring/finance. We all live busy lives, but direct involvement from parents is important, and makes this a place which we all can be proud of. This isn't just another faceless childcare factory where you drop your kids off with hundreds of others and pick them up sniffling in the afternoon. There is a max of 8 kids per day, with at least 2 caretakers to look after them. Lots of individual attention, lots of genuine affection & love. Highly highly recommended.
