J	Jasper Fischer on Google ★ ★ ★ ★ ★ Mooi stukje pier met aan de ene kant de vaargeul naar de havens van huizen en aan de andere kant een rustig natuur gebied met veel rust. Nice piece of pier with on the one hand the fairway to the harbors of houses and on the other a quiet nature area with lots of rest.
R	Richard Otto on Google ★ ★ ★ ★ ★ Leuk maar in het voorjaar veel vliegen. Het groen mag wel wat voller. Ook vaak konijntjes te zien. Nice but a lot of flying in the spring. The green could be a bit fuller. Also often see bunnies.
F	Frans Lubbers on Google ★ ★ ★ ★ ★ Hier wandel ik hier graag heen om de ondergaande zon te zien en te genieten van de schepen die de haven in of uit varen. Ook de watervogels zijn prachtig druk hier. Geldt voor beide havenpieren die "Pier" heten. Check mijn foto's maar. Aan de kant van het hotel laat de gemeente Huizen steken vallen in de bestrijding van japanse duizendknoop die als exoot regelmatig bestreden moet worden om deze krachtig woekerende plant klein te houden. I like to walk here to see the setting sun and to enjoy the ships sailing in or out of the harbor. The water birds are also beautifully busy here. Applies to both port piers called "Pier". On the side of the hotel, the municipality of Huizen is falling into the fight against the Japanese knotweed, which as an exotic must be fought regularly to keep this powerfully proliferating plant small.
S	Sander Bronts on Google ★ ★ ★ ★ ★ Heerlijk om naar het einde van de pier te wandelen. Je hebt een mooi uitzicht op het Gooimeer en Almere. Halverwege en aan het einde vd pier zijn bankjes om te rusten. Lovely to walk to the end of the pier. You have a beautiful view of the Gooimeer and Almere. Halfway and at the end of the pier are benches to rest.

V	Vogels Kijken Store Alles voor vogelliefhebbers on Google ★ ★ ★ ★ ★ De pier van Huizen is een leuke plek om even snel vogels te gaan kijken. In de loop van de jaren zijn er al aardig wat bijzondere soorten gezien hier: Roodhalsfuut, Eidereend en IJseend. De IJsvogel is hier relatief makkelijk te ontdekken. Veel Aalscholvers uiteraard. In de winter zo nu en dan dus IJseend maar op het Gooimeer ook Dodaars, Brilduiker. Als het Gooimeer is bevroren is er kans op Roerdomp nabij de waterzuivering. IJsvogels zijn dan ook te vinden bij het stromende water. In de zomer soms Krooneend, maar die zitten meestal meer richting de Stichtsebrug. Oeverzwaluwen die broeden bij de waterzuivering, daar is een Oeverzwaluwwand. Voor veel steltlopers zijn de eilanden helaas teveel begroeid. The pier of Huizen is a nice place to go and watch birds. Over the years quite a few special species have been seen here: Red-necked Grebe, Eider and Ice Duck. The Kingfisher is relatively easy to discover here. Many cormorants of course. In the winter every now and then, so, duck, but on the Gooimeer also Dodaars, Common Goldeneye. If the Gooimeer is frozen, there is a chance of Roerdomp near the water treatment plant. Kingfishers can therefore be found in the flowing water. In the summer sometimes Crowned duck, but they are usually more towards the Stichtsebrug. Shallow swallows that breed during water treatment, there is a swallow wall. For many waders, the islands are unfortunately overgrown.
