β β β β β Fun and quick attraction to see here. The tower looked closed when we visited it, no lights, no open door, but to our surprise we could go inside, and we were pleasantly surprised.
The interior is really, really cramped and small. It doesn't look like something you should visit on busy days. It's small and interesting, and the view is nice. Both on the tower as around it.

β β β β β Must visit if nearby. Small and free museum explaining the fauna and flora of the region as well as the history of the village that was here.
The major highlight is the top floor. Bring binoculars or use the ones provided to spot seals and birds on the sand banks!

β β β β β When you realise there were bustling towns and villages in this area and this beautiful tower is all that is left. It sobered me up and I was thinking of the people and the houses, the cattle and goods that were lost to the fierce force if the water floods. I hope it will never happen again. Please help keep our planet safe.

β β β β β Great place to observe the Roggenplaat sandbank with a high quality Swarovski monocular fixed at the top of the tower. There is a very interesting and well set up exhibition on the local fauna and flora inside the tower.

β β β β β Due to Corona it is closed. Ask the guys on the souvenir stand next to the tower. They maintain a waiting list and allow people to go upstairs in small groups.

β β β β β Little museum inside a tower, telling the story of the drunken villages and the nature surrounding the Oosterschelde. From the top you have a beautiful few of the surroundings and if you're lucky, you can even spot seals resting on the sand banks

β β β β β The tower stands all alone in the middle of nowhere. This was a nice surprise. There is no real indication that you can enter but when you do, there is an automatic exposition on history and its surroundings . You can get all the way up for a great vieuw of the sea and surroundings. The start of thr stairs are quite steep, use the rope.
