★ ★ ★ ★ ★ Medium sized, generally well-stocked. Liquor section requires a staff member for access; the same staff services the postal/package retrieval desk, the tobbacco desk, and the liquor section, so there's sometimes a wait. Modest selection of expat treats (A&W cream soda and root beer for instance) but they often don't have their barcode registered, so there's a delay at the cashier's while they type in a code or wait for a runner to look up the price.

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ Not enough parking space and prices of some of my favourite products are a bit higher than other groceries shop's. The service is really bad. Waiting lines are often too long. Personnel is very rude and their always dreaming or chatting with each other.

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ Well-structured store, with people handing out samples, and with a generous amount of options for every seperate category of product. Great offers too. Can be a bit pricier than other stores, but if you stick to foodstuffs, you won't have that issue.

During the Corona period they are one of the few supermarkets that will hand you a cleaned shopping cart.
They should only take out some of their selfservice stations to make it all perfect

Same problem today 13/01. Discount items full price by cashier
Yesterday, 18/01 and this morning 19/01, Radler beer was shown on a board in the shop as discounted, but did not show on the receipt!! The cashier was not to blame, a male worker tried to contradict what was SO plain to read on the board. Advice. Do check your kassabon as some items do NOT appear in the weekly aanbidingen paper!.
Am now receiving very good service and the service point can not be more helpful. Have just been shocked (28/04) to discover that the cost of Hollandse Kant en Klaar maaltijden have increased in this store by a WHOPPING 10% per meal. Will definitely be shopping elsewhere for this!! Having checked out 3 other local supermarkets (incl other goods) , Mr. Van Ommen's prices are encouraging me to shop elsewhere.
Unfortunately, I have another negative to report. I ordered an item several weeks ago and initially, no problems when asking for this weekly. However, for the last 3 weeks and with no reasonable explanation given plus my repeating myself each week, what I asked for was not kept for me! Not satisfied!
I now find this the most expensive of the local supermarkets!

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ Only super market in winkanplein. Has a wide range of items and nice fresh breads... Lots of fruits and vegetables... A bit costly considering other major super market chains in the Netherlands. Near the bus stop and easily accessible. Has free parking in front of the store. Also has the facility to take printouts and machines to recharge ov chipkaart.
