★ ★ ★ ★ ★ As far as we know, no farmers have been charged for destruction of property or other charges for flipping over activists’ cars, slapping meat on them, punching people, and stealing belongings. The treatment of the activists by the police warrants an investigation into the department, and it’s quite apparent that their negligence demands top-down firings and prosecution. Corruption of this caliber doesn’t belong anywhere, let alone a country that claims to protect human rights. I hate to poison the well, but given their conduct, any public official not acting on this should be duly removed, and their objections ignored. Police are given authority to protect and serve everyone.
