★ ★ ★ ★ ★ Indrukwekkend gebouw, ontworpen door de Rotterdamse architect Maaskant, opgetrokken uit beton, staal en glas. In het interieur is veel natuursteen gebruikt. De statenzaal zweeft als het ware in de hal. Zonder meer een hoogtepunt van de na-oorlogse architectuur in Nederland.
Impressive building, designed by the Rotterdam architect Maaskant, made of concrete, steel and glass. A lot of natural stone has been used in the interior. The council chamber floats in the hall, as it were. Without a doubt a highlight of post-war architecture in the Netherlands.
