I really expected a lot more from this, but everything is houses of artists. There is little to see/experience here I really don't recommend this

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ We komen graag naar het Quarantainecomplex bij Heijplaat. Meer dan dertig jaar geleden zijn de karakteristieke gebouwen door een aantal idealisten "gekraakt" en daardoor voor sloop behoed. Het is al vele jaren een "kunstenaarskolonie" en daarom waren wij daar: Opening van de expositie van een schilderscollectief. Je kunt er een cursus volgen. Het is een fantastische, mystieke, spirituele en culturele plek, waard om behouden te worden. Een groene oase tussen de containerbedrijven in het Rotterdamse havengebied met een schilderachtig rivierstrand en mooie vergezichten.
We like to come to the Quarantine complex at Heijplaat. More than thirty years ago, the characteristic buildings were "squatted" by a number of idealists and thus saved them from demolition. It has been an "artists' colony" for many years and that's why we were there: Opening of the exhibition of a painters collective. You can take a course there. It is a fantastic, mystical, spiritual and cultural place, worth preserving. A green oasis between the container companies in the Rotterdam port area with a picturesque river beach and beautiful views.
