 Most beautiful church with the best choir in the region. It is a pity that fewer and fewer people are going.

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ Prachtige oude RK kerk in Varik, waar mijn opa in de jaren 30 van de vorige eeuw Koster en tuinman was en mijn oma de poetsdame. Zij woonden toen zelf in de Korte Stukken op nummer 3. Het gezin met 9 kinderen was daar komen wonen vanuit Wijk bij Duurstede en door de toenmalige pastoor van Varik daarheen gehaald zodat er meer RK zieltjes in het dorpje aan de Waal woonde en hij tegelijkertijd een nieuwe koster, tuinman en poetsdame voor zijn kerk had
Beautiful old RC church in Varik, where my grandfather was Koster and gardener in the 1930s and my grandmother was the cleaning lady. They then lived in the Korte Stukken at number 3. The family with 9 children had come to live there from Wijk bij Duurstede and brought there by the then pastor of Varik so that more Roman Catholic souls lived in the village on the Waal and at the same time he had a new sexton, gardener and cleaning lady for his church
