β β β β β If you ask for the best value I would highly recommend Rainbow.
I was initially dubious when I found this shop among many other cheaper hair places in Chinatown but had to agree it was totally worth the money when walking out.
I was doing a perm so yes, it was a bit more than simple haircut but I also saw a guy who just came in for haircut having a similar treatment of getting a head and back massage for decent amount of time.
It will be a typical Chinese vibe where Wendy Hu, the stylist, seems to be in a good charge of the place occasionally shouting at others if she doesn't like about something which adds even more character to this place.
However, if you are good to her and don't rush her and can be patient, something unexpected like this extra service may come out of it. In terms of how competent she is, I simply brought a photo of my old hairstyle and she was capable to exactly make it happen.
So if you are a guy not willing to go to hose expensive hair venues like me but still want a good service and haircut, I would be happy to endorse this shop to people in The Hague.

β β β β β This is a good hairdresser! It is not a classy shop, but the service is great, they are fast and I like my haircut. For me this is exactly how I like it.
Wash and cut here is: wash, wash, condition, face scrub, moisterizer, haircut, wash again, style. You can get a massage for a surcharge.
If you consider a chat about heaven, earth and the Boulevard being part of the service you are entitled to at your hairdresser's, then this is the wrong place for you; Or you speak Chinese ;)

β β β β β Terrible service. She is pushing to get a wash even if you do not want to. She doesn't know how to cut at all. My layers are too much shown. Not naturall at all.
She doesnt take time to take a good look before cutting. I said cut only "1cm" and she cut off like 4 cm. When I said it is too short she said "oh well it will grow".
Plus the hairdresser and assistant who give a hairwash they all treat yiur hair without care at all. The tiuch is so ruff so you feel like you are in a fight somebody constantly pulling hair! It hurts so much. It doesn't feel like you are treated at all.
I cannot style my hair. The hairs on the bottom are just flying to every direction. I am unhappy every day when i look at myself. I regret big time to choose this place.
