★ ★ ★ ★ ★ Bij aankomst werd ons gelijk al duidelijk dat wij niet welkom waren. Op bijzonder onvriendelijke wijze werden wij erop gewezen dat wij te vroeg waren. Het enige wat wij wilde was onze bagage stallen om onze fietsen te kunnen gaan halen en een kop koffie te drinken. Ook tijdens het verblijf allerlei gezeur, gebeld en gemaild worden over futiliteiten. Voor ons uiteindelijk de reden om 3 dagen eerder te vertrekken!! En 3 sterren voor een vieze en bedompte zolderkamer vinden wij wel heel erg veel. Tevens levensgevaarlijke hoogte verschillen in douche en toilet.
On arrival it was immediately clear to us that we were not welcome. We were pointed out in a very unfriendly way that we were too early. All we wanted was to store our luggage to get our bikes and have a cup of coffee. Also during the stay all kinds of nagging, being called and e-mailed about trivialities. Ultimately the reason for us to leave 3 days earlier!! And we think 3 stars for a dirty and stuffy attic room is very much. Also life-threatening height differences in shower and toilet.

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ Oosterend ist sicherlich eine gute Wahl für alle, die den lebhafteren Teil der Insel nicht so lieben. Wir waren allerdings diesmal nicht so glücklich:
Die Unterkunft im Appartement "Jelle" ist auch für zwei Personen etwas dürftig. Das Bett ist schmal und Dusche und WC entsprechen sicherlich nicht mehr ganz heutigem Standard.
Ein Hinweis für Hundebesitzer: 15,70 € pro Nacht ist ganz schön happig!
Außerdem haben wir die Unterkunft sicherlich genau so sauber hinterlassen, wie wir sie vorgefunden haben. Das hat die Vermieter aber nicht davon abgehalten, nochmal 30 Euro Reinigungskosten einzubehalten.
Sollten wir die Insel noch einmal besuchen, werden wir uns bestimmt anderswo umsehen.
P.S. "Dicht bei Zee" ist übrigens etwa 2Km vom Strand entfernt!
Oosterend is certainly a good choice for those who do not love the livelier part of the island. However, this time we weren't so happy:
Accommodation in the "Jelle" apartment is a bit poor, even for two people. The bed is narrow and the shower and toilet certainly no longer meet today's standards.
A note for dog owners: € 15.70 per night is pretty steep!
In addition, we have certainly left the property as clean as we found it. But that didn't stop the landlords from withholding another 30 euros in cleaning costs.
Should we visit the island again, we will definitely look elsewhere.
P.S. By the way, "Dicht bei Zee" is about 2 km from the beach!

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ its obviously located at a great location which is dicht bij zee meaning close to sea. you can either walk or bike to the sea to enjoy the view. every room inside has a bathroom wich i find very luxe. the service is great and we recieved everything we needed

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ Good location, you are able to walk to the beach. The rooms are a good size and overall ok. A few public area's where you can relax inside and outside. We had an overall good stay there.

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ Unfriendly staff, unkept place. We had what they called the junior suite. It was worn down, toilet/shower/kitchen from the seventies. Awful stench in the shower. The room description says nespresso and tea facilities. There are no tea bags, just a kettle. You get 4 cups nespresso, we had booked a week. When you ask for new towels, you are referred to the washing machine.
Avoid, avoid, avoid!
