β β β β β Best duck I ever had! Seriously, thus was a great experience from start to finish. Tuna appetizer was delicious but the duck with mash potatoes was fabulous - a beautiful piece of meat perfectly cooked. Outstanding wine list (by the glass as well ) I will certainly be back and give this place my highest recommendation

β β β β β It starts off with a nice and friendly staff. They make sure everything is alright and to the customer wishes. The terrace is located in the sun, what makes it perfect for a quick bite with a refreshing drink. A quick look around inside gave the impression of a cozy pub/bar/restaurant. It's located straight at the exit of parking lot 6 of Hoog Catharijne.

β β β β β I liked that the waiter spoke english, the menu was in english and the restaurant looked nice. I didn't like the food.
My burger was way too done: it even had crunchy bits. One of my colleagues said his burger was good and another complained that the tomato soup was too zesty.

β β β β β Service is slow. Every time we asked the waiter for something she had forgotten about it. Smelled sewerage. Also we ordered 1 portion of burger and separately 1 portion of fries. As a result we received 1 burger and fries included to burger according to the menu, but not extra fries. The waiter said that fries were not included to the burger, so we paid for both positions. After we checked the menu we understood weβve been cheated.

β β β β β My husband and I are from the US but have lived in Holland for just over a year. We have tried burgers several times at different places and nearly everytime let down. We walked in to Claar for a date night and ordered the burger expecting the same quality we usually get at a Dutch restaurant...we were very pleasantly surprised! This burger was amazing, best we've had in the Netherlands. Claar also had many other dishes that sounded delicious sober plan to go back. Also fun that they listed a drink pairing with the menu items. We highly recommend this restaurant and experience!
