★ ★ ★ ★ ★ Restaurant inside and outdoor is nicely situated by the management. What irritates me tremendously is the noice of passing vehicles. I am still very surprised that local politics haven't done anything to avoid or at least lower the noice .....

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ Came on a slow Tuesday evening. Nice atmosphere. Very old rustic place. Food was above average but not spectacular hence the rating.
I did feel it was a little expensive for the portion size. Nevertheless we we're satisfied. The staff was very friendly. Service was on the slow side but this isn't a quick-bite kind of place.
They automatically bring you some bread which was nice but then I found that they charged us for it at the end. This is tacky. Please do not so this.
The beet carpaccio was great, but I would add some sort of nut, maybe pine nuts???
Good kids menu, cordon Bleu, fries, and salad for €6.95.
Vega-lasagna was good, very rich and delicious. Also the Kabeljauw (Cod) a-la-carte and Ratatouille was delicious, but also a rather small portion. It did come with fries but they combined the fries for our 2 entrees into one portion to share, which was the same size as our one kids portion. This is typical as many dutch restaurants do this.. and I don't like it because from a customer point of view, it feels cheap.
Overall, the good experience was tainted by some negatives which lowered my rating to a 3 star. I probably won't come back as there are other places I like better but this isn't the worst place I've been in Holland.

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ Very nice restaurant. Situated in nice surroundings away from the busy day-to-day life. Nice interior and a nice big terrace. Servingstaff is very friendly and correct. We had a good diner for a nice price. Everything was prepared very well and tasteful.
