★ ★ ★ ★ ★ Het was subliem. Top restaurant. Van het voorgerecht tot de koffie alles helemaal geweldig. Eigenaresse Cathy is een super gastvrouw, de chefkok Erwin is een topper en het personeel heel vriendelijk en behulpzaam. De prijzen zijn veel te laag voor de topkwaliteit die zij serveren. Kortom wij zijn enthousiast.
Bovenstaande was van vorig jaar. Vandaag waren wij de enige gasten. De voorjaarsstorm hielt de andere gasten weg. Ondanks de rondvliegende dakpannen trotseerde Cathy het heftige weer om haar gestrande gasten in de kroeg verderop toch van eten te voorzien. Gelukkig had zij zich goed beschermd. Deze kanjer moet men eren door allemaal te komen dineren. Erwin blijft een top kok.
It was sublime. Top restaurant. From the starter to the coffee everything is absolutely wonderful. Owner Cathy is a super hostess, the chef Erwin is a winner and the staff is very friendly and helpful. The prices are way too low for the top quality they serve. In short, we are enthusiastic.
The above was from last year. Today we were the only guests. The spring storm kept the other guests away. Despite the flying roof tiles, Cathy braved the fierce weather to feed her stranded guests in the pub further down the road. Fortunately she had protected herself well. This champ should be honored by all coming to dinner. Erwin remains a top chef.

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ Lekker eten!! De kaart is eigenlijk niks bijzonders… carpaccio, garnalen, saté, spare ribs, pannenkoeken…maar wat er geserveerd wordt is echt goed, en prima prijs! Daan in de bediening is een leuke jongen die het snapt en een leuk praatje maakt! De inrichting kan iets authentieker, wat meer past bij de omgeving van de vesting!
Good food!! The menu is actually nothing special… carpaccio, shrimps, satay, spare ribs, pancakes… but what is served is really good, and a good price! Daan in the service is a nice guy who gets it and makes a nice chat! The interior could be a little more authentic, which fits more with the environment of the fortress!

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ Had the “catch of the day” which in this case was a Black Cod and it was absolutely amazing; definitely worth traveling to Naarden just for it if they have it available.
The staff was also very friendly and understanding which just made the whole experience perfect :)
