β β β β β Very nice experience: we had the 5-course Dutch tasting menu and really loved it. The dessert was adventurous with the carrot ice cream perhaps a little too unusual for me. The wine pairing worked very well.

β β β β β Must go! Really nice, tasty and well presented food! We went for the 3 courses menu (around 37β¬) and was perfect. The dessert is really surprising with the cucumber marshmallow. The staff is really nice and welcoming. The chef brought and explained all dishes which is nice. I will definitely come back!

β β β β β A casual looking cafe with a great tasting menu that betrays its real culinary capabilities. Food was fantastic and well paced with a good spread of lighter and heavier dishes.
Restaurant staff were considerate and very helpful, even preparing a baby seat for my toddler when I mentioned her in the booking. Definitely a child friendly restaurant.
Not sure whether a compliment or a complaint, but individual food portions were slightly on the larger side. Our tiny Asian bellies were struggling to keep up towards the end.

β β β β β Floreyn is a resturant which focuses on Dutch cuisine and my first pricy cuisine experience in Amsterdam. The place looks good and makes one feel comfortable. There is easy access to the bar for drinks, as well as a good view towards the kitchen from any table. I had the pleasure of having the 6 course menu.
Each dish was different, but full of flavour, with a definite description of the plates served.
For starters, I chose oysters which I found quite tasty, followed by a variety of fish and duck meat dishes. I enjoyed very much the raw egg in broth with the sweet crisp potatoes on the side, the duck meat and liver haven't been my favourite, but the amazing dessert of frozen apple slices, ice cream and meringue were making everything sweeter.
One of the fish dishes with scallop and white beetroots was disappointing, as the beetroots were cold.
The service, in that evening, was a little bit slow as it seemed the staff was outnumbered by the amount of guests, and was a little late with serving.
On the other hand, I appreciated that as a person who doesn't drink alcohol, I was prepared a very tasty virgin cocktail.
All in all, I think the resturant is worth visiting for the culinary education if you are in Amsterdam and the tasty fish.

β β β β β Had a great experience here, despite being a little apprehensive initially when we turned up at half 6 to an empty restaurant.. We ordered the 3 course chefβs tasting menu and loved it. The servers explained each course patiently and the chef was SUPERB - they were willing to re-cook the venison twice as we arenβt accustomed to eating meat rare, and it ended up being cooked to about medium-well and was very fragrant, still tender, and re-plated. Thank you for being so accommodating!!

β β β β β We brought visiting family here and were very pleased with everything. The concept is simple: fining dining with Dutch food. The atmosphere is nice but not fancy. The lighting was slightly dim, but you could still easily read the menu. Staff was wonderful and explained everything.
Food was very good with lots of varying textures and flavors. Nothing comes out the way you expect it, and that's a good thing. Our cocktails were very good as well. Overall, very impressed and will go again!

β β β β β This sophisticated restaurant serves up a delicious Dutch taste experience. We went for the chefs menu, finishing up with a selection of amazing cheeses, which we personally selected from their main cheese board. Very unique, accomplished cooking, using local, seasonal vegetables. Nice wine pairings also, and service is impeccable, with a clear explanation of each dish. A tad expensive, but worth every penny.

β β β β β A truly great dining experience! Such a high level of understanding of the product and awareness of flavors can be found only in leading European restaurants.
Me and my wife had the great pleasure of tasting the 7 courses menu. Each dish was an amazing adventure and encounter with the essence of Dutch cuisine in a modern version. The compositions of flavors and structures were perfectly matched, and many of them were really surprising. An additional advantage is the excellent selection of Dutch wines, which perfectly harmonized with the taste of the dishes.
The real gem is the level of service and commitment of all staff. Our hostess was simply wonderful and had detailed knowledge of the food and wine served - it was a great pleasure to be served by such a nice and professional person. Kitchen staff were great as well and very willing to chat about their work and food. The restaurant also has a very nice decor which creates a friendly atmosphere.
This is a place worth visiting, you won't be disappointed for sure! For us, it is a must-see on the culinary map of Amsterdam and we will certainly appear here on our next stays. Thank you very much for a wonderful evening!
