★ ★ ★ ★ ★ Surprisingly a very good experience. On my vacation weekend I walked passed this museum and entree is free for students. So I visited it spontaneously and it was really nice! The basics of fundamentele history of science was well showed and explained. For me as a biologist student it was basic information but still very interesting and it made me even more enthousiastic about the whole world of science.

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ Superb museum with a lot of interesting displays and exhibits on modern science, astronomy, medicine, and the human body. Might need half a day to explore everything. Not to be missed!

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ After a meticulous restoration this museum is better than ever, hence the addition of Rijsmuseum. Although Leiden's most famous polymath is the focus, almost all aspects of science are touched upon. The exhibits are informative and many are also interactive. Well suited for visitors young and old. There is an outdoor area where the litte ones can play and experiment with water. Very centrally located.

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ Amazing museum about medicine and science advancements! They have an amazing display in the operating theater (only in Dutch) that had a fantastic light display. Saw their contagion display. They have so much info from current and past outbreaks. From a plague outfit to the vial from the first Covid vaccine injected in The Netherlands. That was just the first floor.

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ Great museum with loads of medical history. It was very interesting to see the 7min video in their little theater. Also with covid going on reading about other infections/diseases from the past was a great touch.

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ A hidden gem! We weren’t supposed to visit by passing by, and WOW, what an interesting and well exhibited museum with so many knowledges, especially enjoyed the “disease” exhibition, my 12 y-o didn’t stop asking questions. Will definitely come back another time!
