I bought a brand new Roetz bike and few weeks later I contacted them informing that there was a problem with the gears - from the beginning - that got worse and they did not provide any assistance. Said that the guarantee was valid for the frame and other parts. That I should have done a service run (up to 6 weeks after buying) and paid 50 Euros. I regret so much as for the amount I paid I could have had a real top bicycle. I'm trying to re-sell it for any offer.

Awesome bike. Besides it good looks it rides very smooth, even after 3 years daily use, stalled outside always and very limited (sorry) maintenance. Besides that, it’s mainly made out of recycled materials and build by people who (for several reasons) would not have job today. Driving a Roetz bike reminds me daily how fortunate I am and also makes me more conscious about the raw materials we take for granted, while we should be re-using even more, today. Roetz is not just a bike, it’s message for a better future. Spread the word, ride a Roetz.

Very nice to be able to visit the factory (before Covid of course) and see the production process. Feels good to be able to help support the initiative and have a wonderful bike at the same time!

Contrary to all the positive reviews, I have had a very bad experience with Roetz. To be clear, the Vigour (the model I ordered) drives superb but the service and quality of the product are below par. For the money I paid for it, the bike just doesn't deliver. This all started when I orderd my bike with Roetz (which was in early september). Delivery time was estimated at around 2-3 weeks. But after 4 weeks I'd still hadn't heard a thing. So I started contacting them, with which they responded that my bike had failed a quality inspection. At which my initial response was: ok, good that they value quality but would've been nice if they had informed me in a feedforward manner, and not after I had contacted them. Finally, after 8 weeks they deliverd the bike, or so I though. Becuase they deliverd the wrong bike. So, this caused another waiting period for me. The day the bike finally should've been deliverd, the delivery guy forget to take it with him. As a result, again no bike for me. Finally, early november my bike was deliverd and after the mechanic of Roetz had fine tuned my bike I could start riding it. This is where the rest of the trouble started, after a month of usage the brike broke down in the middle of my commute. The bike repair shop I brought my bike stated that the parts where incorectly adjusted. So again, I couldn't ride the bike. This failure was a prediction for the rest of my time with this bike. The main problems I encountered with this bike are that the gears couldn't hold their position (they would switch to another gear out of the blue) and the brakes were just bad. It took forever to come to a stop. After two years of usage I have paid more for the repairs of this bike than for the actual bike itself. This has made me decide to never buy a Roetz bike again, and instead buy a different bike.

Bought my Roetz Vigour almost two years ago. Have been using it daily since, between 5 to 25 km every day. Finally after two years I thought I'd have an expert see where some maintenance was needed. Result no maintenance needed at all, with specific complements for the quality of the wheels and spokes. So far my costs over the two years, aside from purchase, have been... 9.95 on chain lubricant. Only thing I had to do was tensioning the chain, which I could easily do myself. Considering the bike is still as good as new, it is easily five stars.

A good brand with a well thought through idea on how to offer a sustainably produced (recycled) bike at no loss of quality. We have had these bikes at our office for many years ( as they were our neighbors before they moved to noord) and they needed little maintenance.

We were looking for a relatively small bike for my wife (not too easy in The Netherlands) and we came across Roetz-Bikes. I have repaired and renew bikes myself in the past (just for fun) so I was very curious to learn more about them. We had a small tour at the factory in Amsterdam and I was very impressed with their work. The communication was fluent and the service was excellent. We could try a few sizes during the visit and we even spent a few minutes during the tour looking or an extra small frame that would fit our needs. We placed an order and it was ready and delivered faster than we were expecting. The paint work is very neat and the bike just looks (and rides) great. We are very happy with our choice. I highly recommend these bikes.
