★ ★ ★ ★ ★ De begraafplaats in Huijbergen wordt ontzettend goed onderhouden door een groep vrijwilligers en iedere keer dat ik er langs ga is het er netjes en verzorgd. Dat geeft een goed gevoel en toont respect voor onze dierbare overledenen. Achter het kerkhof ligt het oude overgebleven poortgebouw van het oude wilhelmieten klooster. Tijdens WO 2 is het oude klooster gebouwd door de wilhelmieten uit Tongerloo volledig vernield behalve het poortgebouw dat je achter de begraafplaats ziet liggen. Ik maakte er twee foto's van. Het geeft wat cachet aan de begraafplaats....en maakt het ook wat gemoedelijk.
 The cemetery in Huijbergen is very well maintained by a group of volunteers and every time I visit it it is neat and cared for. That gives a good feeling and shows respect for our dear deceased. Behind the cemetery is the old remaining gatehouse of the old Wilhelmite monastery. During WW2 the old monastery built by the Wilhelmites from Tongerloo was completely destroyed except for the gatehouse that you can see behind the cemetery. I took two pictures of it. It gives some cachet to the cemetery .... and also makes it a bit cozy.
