★ ★ ★ ★ ★ Rosendaelsche Golfclub, rated 4-1/2 stars: There is a very special quality about this venerable old course. One excellent hole after another reaches into an expansive area of gently undulating wooded heathland. Beech, birch and pine trees, as well as abundance of heather have flourished here for many generations; now they line the good-width fairways at one of the Netherlands' oldest and best golf courses.
