Accelerated Weight Drop

To induce seismic events for active seismic monitoring, we have a self-developed weight drop machine in our collection. The 75 kg weight is able to induce 6 kJ of energy into the subsurface to penetrate deep into the Earth and reveal deep prospects. Operated according to the most recent safety standards, our device is able acquire active seismic data fitted to your need. 

Sledgehammer

If a less strong, active source is required we prefer to work with a 6kg Sledgehammer. The seismic trigger is connected to the head of the sledgehammer which will hit a vertical metal plate on the ground. This is useful for seismic refraction surveys down to about 30 m below surface.

Explosives

Rossingh Explosives is allowed to work with explosives, to purchase these and to transport and store them, both in the Netherlands and in Germany.

Betsy Gun

The Betsy Gun is used a seismic source in our surveys. By firing a 12-gauge shotgun slug into a shallow borehole (e.g., 1 m), the Betsy Gun provides a good source for up-hole measurements. Its reverberations
