Always Great food and good service!

Food was great, atmosphere was nice, price was fair, the only downside was how slow the service was

I had a very bad experience with the food, There are other good indonesian around Netherlands. But the service is good.

A small but friendly Indonesian Restaurant. Price/quality is good, the ambiance excellent and the service friendly. Have you ever been in Indonesia, then it will be Tempo Dulu for you. .

Loved finding this place. Food was excellent in all ways: taste, presentation, smell, quantity. It was a cheaper meal compared to other nearby restaurants and yet quality was so high and with plenty of vegetarian options. I Never ate Indonesian before so this was good training. Although it was a longer wait than I would've like for our meal, we weren't in a hurry and it was worth the wait. Overall the Service was good. Everyone served with delight and first there was no room at the inn clearly given the popularity of it. However they sat us outside when a table became free after the people waiting for a take away had taken their meals away with them to enjoy at home. It was warm to sit outside sipping our beer but when the rain came they had a thought for us and fortunately space was freed up inside so they brought us in and to a table in a wonderful space at the back. We ate surrounded by water running down a stone sculpture, a roof that looked like rushes of bamboo and other vegetation. The owners had even given careful thought to the lavatorial experience! I loved the large shadow puppets on the doors and conical shaped handbasins with even care taken to dispose of paper towels into a large wicker basket. The puppets reminded me of the studies I once did in puppetry but the owners wouldn't have known that! We were pleasantly surprised that the owner produced a menu in English which was 80% accurate in translation. The 20% was funny but was understood. Finally there's a quaint narrow alley way down the side of the restaurant which we didn't have time to explore but looked a lovely spot to eat or drink in. These owners have done well and deserve your custom. This place is worth driving out to from the large towns and cities. You can stay nearby at Het Turfschip hotel in Etten-Leur. It has a lovely tranquil canal basin to walk around after your meal and which we oversaw from our spacious hotel room.

Excellent food and quite a few vegan options. The service, though, was quite slow. A table of 8 who sat down after we had placed our orders were served before us! But again, the food was echt lekker!
