I have fine, soft and short hair and used to perm my hair to increase hair volume before I started with Jennifer. Jennifer suggested that no matter what type of hair you had, a good haircut alone would give your hair volume. I was not sure about this until I saw the results. It’s amazing to see the hair style and cut that Jennifer suggested not only boost volume of my hair but are suitable for my overall style and age. Jennifer is THE hairdresser I want to go in Amsterdam! Very highly recommended!

She's always been into sustainability and eco-products which is something she's put a lot of time and effort into bringing in her salon as well. Salon Sassafras uses sustainable supplies for everything (from hair towels to coffee cups) and their dyes aren't covered in chemicals. Sophia herself is super friendly, super professional and takes the extra mile to ensure you're happy with the result of her work. It took me long enough to find someone I really trust with my hair, and if you're on that boat, I can guarantee you won't regret giving Sophia and Salon Sassafras a chance.

She understood what I wanted with my hair and I am really satisfied by the way she cut it. I also loved the way she blow-dried my hair a lot. Happy to have found this place and I will be returning for sure!

Before meeting her, haircuts were always a bit nerve-wracking (even had bad experiences at specialised curly hair places) but here I know I'm in safe hands and I'm always happy with the results. Can't recommend strongly enough!

Jennifer ensured me that it wouldn't hurt and it would look funky, she was totally right about that. I was very anxious at the start but she made me feel comfortable and took her time to do an amazing job. Even with my very dark hair she got the color exactly how I wanted it to be so i can definitely recommend anyone that wants a new hair color to go here. Jennifer is super friendly and fun but also very professional. Super happy with the result and had a great time so I will definitely come back!
