★ ★ ★ ★ ★ Not friendly to expats, if you don't have Dutch citizenship - don't waste your time there (even if you earn enough and ask for a small loan, ex. for buying a motorcycle or a car). They asked dozens of different documents, that took a lot of time and finally I've got rejection without any valid reason.

Payed off my loans 5 months ago and the life insurance keeps being deducted from my bank account. Send a email and received the confirmation that they will stop the insurance and pay back every penny that wasn't theirs to take. Well they screwed up once more, because I got a notice from my bank that an extra deduction will take place for the a car service fee, WHICH I NEVER TOOK OR SIGNED UP FOR. So Santander get your Santander life insurance company in order and fix it.

Whereas at another bank my application for a loan was rejected without providing any explanations, at Santander, the guy who took care of my application was willing to call me multiple times and to listen carefully to what my situation was in order to truly understand if it was possible for me to take the loan. So, I really appreciate the effort they put on understanding my situation before making their final decision about the loan. It was also a very efficient process, cause everything was worked out in less than a week.

Rude staff on the phone.
Bombardment of emails asking for more paper work, even after I retracted my application.
Their service is only meant for people with a permanent work contact.
