★ ★ ★ ★ ★ Op een toplocatie gelegen schaapskooi. Wij kozen voor de woensdag, omdat er wekelijks (tijdens de zomervakantie) een demo gegeven wordt om het scheren (knippen) van de schapen. Een levendige presentatie gericht op de kinderen. Wat een entertainer die man!
De presentatie start 11u, maar kom je een uurtje eerder kun je de kudde zien vertrekken voor hun dagje heide.
De dames van Natuurmonumenten zorgen voor koffie, thee en een heerlijke Dwingelderkoek!
Sheepfold located in a prime location. We chose Wednesday, because weekly (during the summer holidays) a demo is given about the shearing (cutting) of the sheep. A lively presentation aimed at the children. What an entertainer that man!
The presentation starts at 11 am, but if you come an hour earlier you can see the herd leave for their day in the heathland.
The ladies of Natuurmonumenten provide coffee, tea and a delicious Dwingelderkoek!

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ This is where some of the local sheep live, which usually are out on the heide. The best time to visit is spring when the new lambs are born. Every year there is a lammetjesdag (lamb's day) when visitors can pet and play with the lambs.
