Dutch is a beautiful language and if you live here why not to learn it? I signed up for 1 week beginner course, which consists of 5 classes daily 6 hours each. The group is small 8 people. Class is divided in 2 x 3 hour each sessions. Morning session was with Wessel, he is the founder of the school. And second half was with Jorgen. I enjoyed non conventional flow of the class with Wessel. He developed his own technique, video and print materials. My second teacher Jorgen is not as confident in teaching, and I can’t say anything good about him but during his class we, students, are more proactive. Don’t be afraid to make mistakes, don’t be afraid to speak Dutch.

School for those preferring informal atmosphere and semi-structured method. Helps a lot to start talking / feel more confident. Not that good for increasing vocabulary. Definitely very warm people and fun.

I enrolled for lessons at School for Dutch based on the high recommendation of a colleague of mine . This is after many trials with other places that didn't lead to the results I wanted , which was to be more fluent in Dutch . After a couple of lessons I already started to notice the difference , and how my dutch was improving , that is thanks to Wessel and his unique way of teaching and the none conventional way the classes goes . The choice of topics to use in the process pf learning the language was very engaging , so not the usual text book way, but more relevant topics to the current events and news which made the discussions more interesting and the learning experience more usable in day to day discussion . I would recommend School for Dutch for anyone who wants to learn dutch in none conventional way and at the same time enjoy the discussion and topics covered in the lessons

A very friendly and enjoyable class that focuses on speaking. Wessel is the best and has amazing teaching skills. His method and way of teaching makes it easier for you to memorize vocabulary and a lot of emphasis is given to speaking, which makes the course quite unique. Grammar is also taught but the focus is really on the speaking. This is actually why I chose this course. I’ve been trying different courses, which were good for grammar but my speaking never improved. This is the first time I’m really seeing my Dutch improving in practice (speaking) and I feel more confident to use it when at shops and in the street. The class has also a nice informal atmosphere, cookies, coffee and tea are available all the time. I did the survival and the small talk and will enroll for the conversation level in September. Highly recommended!!

My experience with the School for Dutch was amazing! The atmosphere is very nice and Wessel made me feel comfortable to try, to make mistakes and to learn on my own rhythm. The method is different and will help you to learn in a more relax and fun way. I have done all the levels of the course and it helped me to learn a lot and develop many skills into the language. I also think the prices are affordable comparing to other schools. I'm very thankful to everything I could learn there and I totally recommend the course for beginners but also for those who already speak a bit of Dutch.

Excellent school. I have completed 3 courses here and had private lessons with Jeroen. I didn't think I was very good with languages but the style and format of the teaching really clicked with me. I have learnt so much since attending the School for Dutch. I now feel myself thinking in dutch and understanding people I hear in the street. It has opened up a whole new area to my life in the Netherlands, and I am so glad I attended.
