Well, it is a house full of graffiti which, although it has a historical significance, is not very special. The view of the new waterway is better

There are beautiful pictures, unfortunately only viewed from a distance by me because I am not going to walk through puddles of urine. A shame because there is a public FREE urinal nearby on the same road. Walk less than 50 meters

Nice place to sit on a bench to watch the ships, lots of benches and lots of sun and shade

Exhibition space now, formerly saying goodbye for skipper's wives when man left the canal for a long time.

Yes, even I was wondering what is this place from no where and says 'do not fuss'. This is a kind of exbition place now, but in older days this place was for sailors and their family to take the last bid before the sailors and dock workers leaving for a long voyage. Also in Dutch this place is know as 'Schreihuisje' which actually means 'weeping house'. Most of the man who used to go on a long voyage, there wife's partner user to cry or weep because of long duration of separation.

'Niet zeiken' is a Dutch expression when someone's complains. It translates to 'don't piss on me' This 'do not complain' booth was used to shelter dockworkers from the harsh weather and wives that had to depart with their partners who went off to sea to catch fish. The painting is an inspired impression of the old harbour by Willem van der Hooft of the 1920's
