★ ★ ★ ★ ★ Kleinere, maar zeker praktische blokhut. Ligging pal naast het Oorlogs- en Verzetsmuseum in Overloon en met de auto goed bereikbaar. Het gebouw ligt aan de rand van de bebouwde kom, nét in de bossen van Overloon.
Binnen is een ruime dagrecreatiezaal, kleine keuken, klein lokaal en gesplitst dames- en herentoilet met douche. De zaal is rondom voorzien van ramen met gordijnen en er is een openhaard aanwezig.
De keuken heeft een kleine koelkast en een vierpits gaskookplaat met afzuiging. In het lokaal is een grote koelkast met diepvries beschikbaar.
Boven is een open verdieping waar geslapen kan worden. Hier is een nooduitgang aanwezig.
Buiten is een zandberg met enkele bomen erop. Hier zijn twee (niet toegankelijke) bergruimtes en is ook de kampvuurplaats te vinden. Tegen het hoofdgebouw is een overkapping aanwezig. Het terrein is toegankelijk voor auto's, echter zijn deze het beate buiten het terrein te parkeren omdat de ruimte beperkt is en hierdoor de auto's snel in de weg staan.
Er is verlichting aanwezig, waarvan de schakelaar zich in het hoofdgebouw en tegen een van de bergruimtes bevindt.
Het gebouw is voorzien van wifi en vaste telefoon in het kleine lokaal.
In de buurt bevindt zich het Oorlogs- en Verzetsmuseum, ZooParc Overloon en in de kern een Plus-supermarkt, cafetaria en zo. Aan de rand van Overloon (richting Vierlingsbeek) is een grindafgraving (Schaartven) waar vrij toegankelijk gezwommen kan worden.
Voor een speltak met ongeveer 30 leden is het er goed toeven, echter is met meer personen ook nog ruimte genoeg.
Smaller, but certainly practical log cabin. Located right next to the War and Resistance Museum in Overloon and easily accessible by car. The building is located on the edge of the built-up area, just in the woods of Overloon.
Inside is a spacious day recreation room, small kitchen, small room and split ladies and gents toilet with shower. The room has windows with curtains all around and there is a fireplace.
The kitchen has a small refrigerator and a four-burner gas hob with extractor. A large fridge with freezer is available in the room.
Upstairs is an open floor where you can sleep. There is an emergency exit here.
Outside is a sand mountain with some trees on it. Here are two (inaccessible) storage rooms and you can also find the campfire place. There is a canopy against the main building. The site is accessible for cars, but they are the best to park outside the site because space is limited and therefore the cars quickly get in the way.
There is lighting, the switch of which is located in the main building and against one of the storage rooms.
The building is equipped with WiFi and a landline telephone in the small room.
In the neighborhood is the War and Resistance Museum, ZooParc Overloon and in the core a Plus supermarket, cafeteria and so on. On the edge of Overloon (in the direction of Vierlingsbeek) is a gravel excavation (Schaartven) where you can swim freely.
For a game branch with about 30 members, it is a good place to be, but with more people there is also enough space.

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ Zeer mooi en educatief museum ben er als jong mannetje vaak geweest maar nu meer als 45 jaar later vind ik het nog steeds een van de mooiste museums van Nederland. Dit en het legermuseum in Soesterberg delen voor mij de eerste plaats een absolute aanrader voor iedereen
Very nice and educational museum have often been there as a young man, but now more than 45 years later I still find it one of the most beautiful museums in the Netherlands. This and the army museum in Soesterberg in the first place share an absolute must for everyone
