★ ★ ★ ★ ★ I commissioned Selles & Van Dijk in 2020 to undertake a pre-purchase hull inspection (survey) & valuation of a 15 meter ship. Contrary to best practise, the surveyor disclosed the indicative value of the vessel to the seller/owner who was present at the time. This resulted in a significant investment becoming virtually redundant. The Director/CEO contacted me after a complaint was filed and acknowledged he was aware of the situation. However, he was uncontactable and non responsive to phone calls or emails, with no further effort being made to rectify the situation. I therefore strongly advise caution and to consider alternatives before committing to the services of this company.
