Best Irish pub in netherlands

L	LimPu on Google ★ ★ ★ ★ ★ Went to Venlo for a weekend and strolled around the city expecting the unexpected. When my belly signaled that I need food and I walked by this lovely little place, I knew it was the right place to take a seat, lean back, enjoy an ice cold Guiness and some food. Upon ordering a "Schnitzel with Mushrooms", I knew it may be a bit less than average, a pre-made sauce and some super- market mushrooms. What they brought made me almost jump out of my seat. That may have been the best Schnitzel I have had in my entire life. Fresh, crispy, the shrooms were fresh too, the sauce was on point, creamy and lovely. The chips were crispy too, not mushy and dull. The Guiness however...must have been a little older keg. It was Sunday so that is totally fine. Tasted a bit weak, that's all. The staff was extremely friendly and quick. If you happen to be in Venlo and looking for great food and a lovely location, this is the spot you want to visit!

I was told that it had been a very quiet day so they had closed the kitchen early. The chef was by the door at the time, and he went out of his way to cook me a dinner. I ordered mushroom tagliatelle (€9.50). It was big enough for two, beautifully creamy, and perfectly seasoned. Full marks from me for service. Thanks ??

l	loola Realpirate on Google ★ ★ ★ ★ ★ Great Irish Pub - they have Kilkenny, Guinness and lovely Cider on tap, Fish and Chips on the menue and a very open and super friendly atmosphere . They do a right proper full english :-) Perfect place om aapjes te kijken :-)

The atmosphere is always great, the staff is always friendly and the Guinness and Kilkenny are always on tap. :) I've eaten here a few times and the prices are very good. Affordable for a good amount of food. Often you can find a deal on one platform or another that makes dinner even cheaper. The food isn't that special, but eating it in an Irish pub with a pint of something makes it worth the visit. Also, Shannon's has a nice calendar. With pub quizzes, sport showings and live bands they make sure that there's something to do in the pub often enough for a small town like Venlo. If you like pubs, give Shannon's a visit!

Think if they change the recipes of their foodmenu items they will book succes with their food menu. For example: the soup was a bit watery just like the Irish stew and the burgermeat was dry and i would recommend to use a different bun, like a French brioche. Wish you the best!
