★ ★ ★ ★ ★ The Saint Peter's Church in Leende is a late Gothic cross basilica with a built-in tower, which was rebuilt in 1714 after the fire of 1699 , caused by a lightning strike. The tower has been crowned with a bladder-shaped sphere that is popularly called the 'Lindse Blaos'. This characteristic image is visible from afar. The tower was restored in 1884 , 1905 and 2001 . It has four bells, which were replaced by new ones during the Second World War following the robbery of the bells. The tower is supported by four rectangular buttresses , one of which has the function of stair tower and is crowned by a separate spire. The tower is adorned with lisens that divide the planes into savings fields , which are closed off by natural stone triples . The west entrance was renewed to neo-gothic style during the restoration of 1905 .
