Geweldig om hier weer terug te zijn. Nu met mijn zoontje van 3, die een keer mee kwam trainen met de visjes training! ?

Geschiedenis "Pas drie maanden na de (her)oprichting als cricketclub gingen onze leden voetballen met een ten geschenke gekregen bal en het is de voetbalgeschiedenis, die de naam Sparta in ons land en daarbuiten groot gemaakt heeft". Het geeft al aan dat Sparta iets heeft met de Angelsaksische cultuur en ook in de voetbaljaren is dit steeds naar voren gekomen. Ook al de naam van het stadion "Het Kasteel" verwijst hier naar. Sinds april 2005 heeft Sparta er weer een van origine Angelsaksische sport bij: er wordt nl. rugby gespeeld door Sparta. Sparta Cricket 1888 in Capelle aan den IJssel, nog steeds nauwe banden met RV & AV Sparta en de BVO Sparta hebbende, heeft een zustervereniging Sparta Rugby opgericht. History "Three months after the cricket club was founded, our members began playing football with a ball that had been donated to them, therefore creating football history and in turn firmly establishing the Sparta name in our own land and beyond its borders." The Sparta sporting legacy that encompasses cricket, football and rugby finds its routes firmly established in English sporting culture. Rugby became the natural evolution of the Sparta family and in 2005 Sparta Rugby was founded. The success of the club since its inception has been a story of overwhelming achievement, culminating in our promotion to the premier league of Dutch rugby in the 2009/10 season. At present, Rugby club Sparta play in the 1st division but the high standards and commitment to rugby have been firmly retained. Furthermore, Sparta Rugby still enjoys a close connection with RV & AV Sparta, BVO Sparta and Sparta Cricket 1888. Our allegiance with Sparta Cricket 1888 continues to develop with both clubs moving to a state of the art, sporting facility in Capelle aan den IJssel. The sporting facilities offered by the new complex are arguably unparalled in Dutch rugby and offer the opportunity to further develop Sparta Rugby into to the 2012/13 season and beyond. Sparta Rugby has already made considerable achievements in a short period of time but the ambition of the club dictates that we are constantly striving to build a club that can compete at the highest levels of Dutch rugby. With our exceptional new sporting facilities, dedicated support members, a strong player base and a developing youth section, the continued development of Sparta Rugby is assured.

I would like to warn anyone especially international players, this club is extremely unprofessional and poorly run. Do not waste you career going to play for these mongrels. They promise players jobs and houses and what they end up being are slaves to the club. They will control who you can be friends with and even confiscate all their clothes and personal belongings for control. AVOID AT ALL COSTS…..their behaviour caused a player to leave and suicide because of the treatment
