Best posh place in Leiden! Wow. Really stunning large rooms, unbelievable professional staff, so helpful and just so so friendly. They go the extra 10 miles just to make you ferl good, at home and make sure you are well looked after. If you plan to stay in Leiden, do not hesitate, book this place. And oh.. The location... Heart of city centre, and generally good parking options on the street / canal... Love love love love this place

Great location right next to the old center. Rooms are spacious and comfortable. The building is really old, one of the oldest of the city. This adds to the charm, but also results in a slightly noisy environment. Checkin during covid usually is remote, but in our case the key was not on premise (yet). Luckily an employee brought it personally within 20 minutes, which was really kind.

I loved this spot right in the center of town.... Will definitely return on my next visit to AMSTERDAM

Never stepping foot in this hotel again. If you think about booking this hotel, be ready to get insulted and to have to deal with a level of unprofessionalism and lack of respect that are unprecedented in the hospitality world. We came to Leiden for the funerals of our best friend (with the acknowledgement of the hotel) and ended up dealing with harsh words, lack of empathy and respect. First of all they never warned us that the checkout was at 11am, we arrived at 12pm to find extra charges of 50€ added to all 4 rooms without being warned in advance. While we were sitting in the lobby with our suitcases ready to leave, we were met with an aggressive behavior from the receptionist saying “I cannot stand you guys anymore, you need to leave the hotel and never come back”. What we didn’t know at the time was that sitting in the lobby is not in the regulations but we were never warned beforehand, keeping in mind that we had been sitting in the lobby for the past 4 days and were never told that we weren’t allowed to. This is a trip we’re planning on doing every month, which is why we tried to mend things with the receptionist by apologizing several times in a very respectful and calm manner after the injustice and harsh words we have received about sitting in the lobby, and told her we were planning on bringing in more business and recommending the place, coming back several times a year and were met with her response saying ‘I don’t care that goes in my boss’ pocket not mine’. The receptionist was also very degrading about our room being in ‘unacceptable conditions’ although the only thing we did was bring in snacks and drinks to be able to sustain ourselves because of the lockdown after curfew. Keep in mind that after a 15 minute cleaning, the room was intact and there were no damages done to the room as we were always respectful of the place. She even blamed us for another room’s party which lasted all night without us complaining. There are no phones in the rooms, and housekeeping is not a given so we needed to go to the lobby everyday before 11:00 am to ask for the cleaning of the rooms. The whole staff leaves the hotel at 2 PM, which leaves us no other choice than having our alarms set early to be ready, have breakfast, have our rooms cleaned and prepare our days. Although the rooms are nice and well equipped, there is no added value to the hotel compared to an apartment because of the lack of hospitality service we have received. Booking a hotel is supposed to be all about wellness, serenity and being “worry free” but in this case, they have added more hassle on our shoulders, making it hard to communicate and understand the hotel’s rules. A lack of humanity, compassion and respect that no one has to endure during a trip to beautiful Leiden and its beautiful people.

Very nice hotel with friendly staff. We stayed for 2 nights in the Bruggehoofd suite. Suite was clean, looked good and had a great quality bed. Breakfast was great as well.
