Van dichtbij maak ik mee hoe er op een leeg vel papier na verloop van tijd echte mensen verschijnen. En het is net of de personen op de portretten lijken na te denken of je iets willen vertellen. De gelijkenis is ook zo treffend , het zijn die mensen echt. En dan als het ware gezien door de ogen van de kunstenaar. Dat is waar ik zelf naar zou zoeken in een portret. Stephanie Bunk maakt een stormachtige ontwikkeling door, prachtig om te zien. “The work of Stephanie Bunk touches you!” I've heard a few people say this before, and it's true. Up close I experience how real people appear on a blank sheet of paper over time. And it's as if the people in the portraits seem to be thinking or want to tell you something. The resemblance is also so striking, it really is those people. And then, as it were, seen through the eyes of the artist. That's what I would look for in a portrait myself. Stephanie Bunk is going through a stormy development, beautiful to see.
