★ ★ ★ ★ ★ Fromberg ligt enigszins afgelegen ten opzichte van de andere kernen in de gemeente. Tot 1982 hoorde het gehucht bij Wijlre maar bij de gemeentelijke herindeling van dat jaar werd het bij Voerendaal gevoegd. Het bestaat uit circa tien huizen en boerderijen en ligt vlak naast Etenaken, waar het van gescheiden wordt door de spoorlijn Aken - Maastricht. Het is gesitueerd op een helling van het Geuldal naar het Plateau van Ubachsberg. Het noordelijke deel van de heuvel wordt Schaapsdries genoemd. Ten zuiden van de heuvel ligt het Droogdal van Colmont en ten zuidoosten mondt de Elkenradergrub hierin uit.
 Fromberg is somewhat remote from the other centers in the municipality. Until 1982, the hamlet belonged to Wijlre, but was added to Voerendaal during the municipal redivision of that year. It consists of about ten houses and farms and is located right next to Etenaken, where it is separated by the railway Aachen - Maastricht. It is situated on a slope from the Geul Valley to the Plateau of Ubachsberg. The northern part of the hill is called Schaapsdries. South of the hill lies the Dry Valley of Colmont and to the southeast the Elkenradergrub flows into it.
