Kenniscentrum Phrenos beoogt, in nauwe samenwerking met partners in het werkveld, het persoonlijk herstel en de maatschappelijke participatie van mensen met ernstige psychische aandoeningen te bevorderen. Kenniscentrum Phrenos doet dat door kennis op het gebied van behandeling, herstel en participatie te ontwikkelen, te bundelen, te verspreiden en te doen toepassen. Vanuit deze kennis wil Kenniscentrum Phrenos het beleid ten aanzien van de behandeling en ondersteuning van mensen met ernstige psychische aandoeningen beïnvloeden.  Knowledge center Phrenos
The Phrenos Knowledge Center aims, in close collaboration with partners in the field, to promote the personal recovery and social participation of people with severe mental illness. The Phrenos Knowledge Center does this by developing, bundling, disseminating and applying knowledge in the areas of treatment, recovery and participation. Based on this knowledge, the Phrenos Knowledge Center wants to influence the policy with regard to the treatment and support of people with serious mental illnesses.
