★ ★ ★ ★ ★ After carefully explaining needs and possible entrance dates, providing plenty of personal documents, and meeting all the formal requirements with very ample margin; after carefully stating that, in order to visit, I would have needed to travel one full day during Covid times; after explaining that during these times educators and scholars have to work double shifts to grant continuity to higher education. The agent got me to Nijmegen only to say that they had another person that wanted it 15 days earlier. No call was made to prevent me from wasting a day and traveling unnecessary, at any point of the day. As a professional ethicist, I would easily claim that this is the most unethical behaviour I have ever experienced in this field. It doesn't get any worse than this. It's a shame.
