C	Climate Arboretum on Google ★ ★ ★ ★ ★ We were quite curious about dinner after a bit of a disappointing lunch so came back after a few days. As a starter we had the bisque, which was simply delicious and the cecina de leon (thinly sliced dried beef spiced with olive oil and lemon zest), which tasted great to us. As main course we took the wild white king prawns and a meat skewer from the Josper oven. Both dishes were well flavored with a nice cooking, the meat tender and the prawns with a nice bite. On the cheese board we found a nice combination of spicy cheeses. We accompanied the dishes with wines from the small wine list (the big one is extensive!). Especially the white wines tasted good to us (Domaine Sauger Cheverny from the Loire, and the Millegrand Chardonnay). We were not disappointed. The food is good, but we'll come back for sure for the tasty wines, the quiet atmosphere and the beautiful location.

M	Michel Plungjan on Google ★ ★ ★ ★ ★ Just dropped in for a bite to eat and saw the flowery description of the organic cheese on sourdough bread with tomatoes and mint pesto. Slightly disappointed that it was literally two slices of bread with a thin slice of cheese with a snack tomato plopped down in the middle and then 3 tiny drops of something green. Asking the waiter if that was it, I was graciously provided with more of the otherwise tasteless “pesto” which is supposedly homemade. The “juice of the day” with mango, orange and strawberry, just tasted like plain OJ from a carton. For the price of 5,50 for each item, I had expected better. During the full hour I was there (had to spend some time for an event elsewhere to finish) Aretha Franklin was getting on my nerves - love her but not the whole LP on repeat please... and do fix the screaming door to the kitchen. Anyway, likely an ok place (and the only one around this part of the beach) but I was really not impressed today!

The good thing about it is the location, it is a wonderful place and there are no other restaurants close by, it is also kinds friendly. Nevertheless, the restaurant is huge but they can not cope with so many people. The food ends up coming late and the quality is not really good, specially for the price.

The same goes for the tuna 'rillette' sandwich, which looks suspiciously like a regular tuna salad you buy in the supermarket. The bisque was not available so we had the avocado soup which tasted sour and bitter at the same time. Not very appetizing. Service was a bit unorganised and it took quite a while before we got the card. The drinks menu looks nice, I would say: enjoy a drink!

D	Daan Mevius on Google ★ ★ ★ ★ ★ We went here because it is quite popular and they have vegan options for my friends. However it was very busy and the service was really slow. Unfortunately the dinner size was also quite small and didn't even include fries or potatoes! You have to pay extra for those, that was a bit disappointing, especially for 27 euro. The desert cake was yummy but I won't eat dinner here again.
