Leuke uitleg en de groep wordt in tweëen gedeeld. Ik zit in de groep bij Kobus van Ingen. Het enthousiastme spat ervan af. Wat een wetenswaardigheden en wat een leuke feiten. Wat mij ook zo overweldigd is de grootte van het museum. De diversiteit en de mooie stukken. Drie verdiepingen, dat zie je er niet aan de buitenkant van af!! April 21, 2018, an organized day out to Streekmuseum Baron van Brakel. Nice reception with coffee and biscuit. Nice explanation and the group is divided in two. I am in a group with Kobus van Ingen. The enthusiasm explodes. What worth knowing and what fun facts. What also overwhelmed me is the size of the museum. The diversity and the beautiful pieces. Three floors, you can't tell from the outside !!
J	Johan Hoekstra on Google ★ ★ ★ ★ ★ Streekmuseum middenin de Betuwe met drie thema's: in souterrain een grote collectie boerenwagens, op de bg onder meer een compleet oud pleintje met winkeltjes en bedrijven 'van vroeger', allemaal met de originele spullen en inventaris uit de Betuwe, plus alles over de fruitteelt, en boven ruim aandacht voor de geschiedenis (vanaf prehistorie tot nu). Véél leesteksten op de panelen, het zou de moeite waard zijn om daar een uitgave van te maken. Geen museumkaart, genoeg parkeerruimte. Ligt net buiten Ommeren (dat als dorp vrijwel niet voorkomt op de ANWB-wegwijzers). Toch gevonden ? Regional museum in the middle of the Betuwe with three themes: a large collection of farm wagons in the basement, including a completely old square with shops and businesses from the past, all with the original stuff and inventory from the Betuwe, plus everything about fruit growing, and above, ample attention to history (from prehistory to the present). Many reading texts on the panels, it would be worthwhile to make an edition of it. No museum card, enough parking space. Located just outside Ommeren (which as a village hardly ever appears on the ANWB signposts). Found anyway ?
G	Guus Bax on Google ★ ★ ★ ★ ★ Leuk museum voor opa en oma met kleinkind. Beetje luchtig en vol met leuke dingen die aanraakbaar zijn. Nice museum for grandparents with grandchild. Little lighthearted and full of fun things that are touchable.

Uit de romeinse tijd (die waren hier zeer zeker) maar ook uit de oorlog en verzet interessante voorwerpen en informatie. Je kunt er gerust met je kleinkind heen. Mooie oude ambachten goed uitgebeeld. Definitely a must. Friendly volunteers. Nice collection of old tools and implements and carts. Interesting objects and information from the Roman period (they were here for sure) but also from the war and resistance. You can safely go there with your grandchild. Beautiful old crafts well depicted.
