Stretto Eten & Drinken - Waterstraat 6

Over het algemeen erg druk. Met zn tweetjes ben je er gemiddeld 35-50 euro kwijt met avondeten en 2 drankjes. Wel jammer dat het terras niet rookvrij is.

Met 2 ex-collega's vriendinnen gegeten bij Stretto. Het eten was heerlijk. Onze serveerster was vriendelijk. Er werd gewerkt met tijdsloten Ineens lag de rekening voor ons. Ongevraagd. Ik moest meelopen naar de kassa vroeg de serveerster. We betalen nl altijd apart. Daar aangekomen sommeerde de eigenaresse mij bij de bar te gaan staan ipv bij de kassa, terwijl de serveerster mij juist vroeg mee te gaan naar de kassa. Ik zei oh ja dat is natuurlijk vanwege de corona. Er werd niet op gereageerd. Ik vond het niet vriendelijk, mijn vriendinnen deelden mijn mening. Ik gun de horeca het allerbeste, maar zeker vriendelijkheid van nog wel de eigenaresse.

Op de Italiaanse keuken geïnspireerd restaurant met vriendelijke en vlotte bediening en lekkere gerechten. Het zit hier meestal vol en dat is niet zonder reden. Als je binnen wilt zitten is reserveren wel aanbevolen, zelfs op een reguliere dinsdagavond. Op het niet al te grote terras kun je meestal wel nog zo aanschuiven. Er staat naast pizza veel lekkers op de kaart, waaruit het maar moeilijk een keuze maken is. Lekkere aperitiefjes ook. De prijzen zijn schappelijk. Wij komen terug!

Een heel goed druk bezocht Italiaans restaurant. Vlotte en vriendelijke bediening. Ondanks de drukte blijven ze kalm en attent. Het menu is prima verzorgd, ook wat er ter tafel komt. Alles smaakt meer dan goed en is heel goed bereid. Ruime porties van alles en dat tegen zeer schappelijke prijzen. We gaan hier vaker naar toe.

Excellent. Good pizzas, really nice appetizer platter. And plenty of other choices from the menu (not tried). Great service and really good value. Recommended.

Definitely not pizza! Not sure what it was we got served. It was round, crispy (actually not the worst base ever, like a medium quality frozen pizza), had a tomato sauce, and toppings. Perhaps it was a pancake? From the decent base up it was nothing short of amazing(-ly shocking). Bacon and gorgonzola pizza with overly sweet tomato sauce. No, really, after having removed the next 20 millimetres of toppings not even this was edible as the only flavour left was that of strong maple syrup. Bringing us to said next layers. We saw the salad on the menu, confusing us at first. "Oh wait, they're obviously talking about a side salad. They just put it on the menu strangely...". But no, it was there! A good thick layer of refrigerated mixed salad cut up at least a day ago. Not only adding nothing to flavour or texture, now the "pizza" below it was cold.. Followed by a thumb thick layer of cold(!) sliced chicken breast. Proportions, anyone?! And to top it all off a good sprinkle of pecorino cheese. The advertised parmesan would've made sense at least. This just added to the confusion and overall weirdness of the dish. My partner's salmon pizza was equally quickly discarded being ludicrously salty (more salmon and more salt is not always more better guys..) and topped with spring unions that were either freezer burned or simply cut many days ago (sorry, "opened". I doubt this kitchen even has a knife) and stored in an open refrigerator. Hence chewy and without flavour. The friendly staff was not enough to make up for the abominations coming from the kitchen. The prices are high, even for a good pizza place. But would have been acceptable if we would have seen an actual pizza. I loathe the day an actual Italian walks into this place. He or she will most likely suffer a heart attack seeing what has become of their nation's heritage. I'm confident I speak for my country when I say: "Ci dispiace!"
