T	Thilo Ruck on Google ★ ★ ★ ★ ★ I actually like it here quite a lot, you do have your own studio, it's fairly quite and 10-12 min until you're on the Grotemarkt and around 15 min till Zernike. Also 500€ rent isn't all to bad for 27m2 if you aren't allowed for huurtoeslag anyway. Only drawback, they're building quite a bit in this area at the moment, but therefore Paradigm is also your neighbour, if you're into that style of music :D I've definitely lived in way worse places in Groningen, really old, cold and with mice.

L	Luke on Google ★ ★ ★ ★ ★ Takes advantage of international students who need emergency housing - contracts are all in Dutch and scam you out of money (charging for things the landlord should fix, and charging costs for you to move out no matter the state of the room). The bedding provided is disgusting, so bring your own. Studios are always dark, and get very hot in Summer. The noise is terrible next to the highway and there is nothing around for miles (you have to cycle over rocky gravel to get anywhere). However there is sufficient storage and space in the room and it is nice to have your own facilities. It does the job in a housing emergency but I would not recommend it to anyone.

There was MOLD in my room and I had to live with the mold in 5x2m of space, because you CAN NOT TERMINATE THE CONTRACT ONCE YOU HAVE SIGNED IT!! The money was gone. There is no insulation. In winter the heaters are not enough to keep you warm. I had to turn up the kitchen stove to keep me warm. Would never recommend. Not even to my worst enemy.
