Ik vind de kwaliteit heel slecht. Ik heb 2 blousen gehad waarvan 1 van 119 euro, die werd na een paar keer dragen heel al heel snel lelijk. Het was een prachtige blouse , heel erg jammer.

Mooie blouses, maar van hele slechte kwaliteit. Na een paar keer, op de hand, wassen zitten er in beide blouses gaten.

Working for Summum Woman as a Graphic Designer in the marketing department has tought me again how judgemental and shortsighted people can be. I'm writing this to warn people considering applying, to prevent the same insecurity and stress this caused me. Conclusion: If you feel you have a different personality, a broader expertise then they're asking for and ideas for improvement, don't apply. I would also advise to be living in Amsterdam and be very outgoing. The interview process is long and I've had a total of 3 interviews and an assignment. Offering a 8 month contract with the argument: We only know someone will fit the company after 8 months. Understanding this argument accepted their offer. I felt affinity with the branding and it suited my design style, happy accepting a compromis. The first week there was an corona issue in the office and therefore wasn't able to come. I showed good will of working from home. In total it was 18 workdays, barely 3 weeks, working there. Still understanding the whole company, I showed my best what I can offer. The system they're using is old fashioned, using only outlook and mailing. Very inefficient. The tasks were unclear and missing important information which made me unable to work. I have background in project management I was thinking about improvements for this system and discussed them to see if they're open for improvement, which they were not. I did all my assignments how they desired them to be, showed options and where to improve them. I have some expertise they were missing, which made me feel like I was a good addition to the team. Next to that I've bought plants, cleaned up the office, sorted documents and tried to make it more cozy and habitable.In my first week I already had to help an intern, which was also weird for me. I had a hard time understanding who were decision makers and I felt like they didn't knew either which made some things hard to understand. This is when I heard they didn't want to continue with me with these arguments: - We don't think you'll be happy in this company. - This is a bad marriage. - We think you don't fit in the company. - We judged you wrongly during the interviews. - You don't like the brand/clothing and photography. - We don't feel a connection with you. - You're not enthusiastic enough. All these arguments are based on a period of barely 3 weeks (18 days). By people who were often not there because of their busy schedule and meetings. I was very disappointed by the unprofessionalism this was brought to me. I never had any warning meeting before and give me time to improve. I think it's up to me to decide wheter I'm happy somewhere or not. All the feelings of not having a connection and a bad marriage were not mutual which made it feel like someone stabbing you in the back. I never said I did not like the brand. On the contrary I've told them I feel affinity with the brand because it's my style and I've worked with similiar brands before. They're not open for change and they want to stick to their inefficient old ways. It was almost that they feel offended because I was offering ideas to improve the system. I was a good addition to the team and they've often told me they thought the same. It felt like they did not appreciate me for who I am. Which made it feel very personal and I feel offended or almost discriminated for being myself. Which shouldn't matter as long the quality of work is good. It's good to have different people in a team. I had 3 interviews, you should know who you're hiring by then. With offering the contract they even said: We know when someone will fit in the company after 8 months. They're concluding this in a period of barely 3 weeks without any warning meeting. This contradicts everything they said during contract negotiation. They also had nothing to say on the quality of work I delivered which made it even more personal. If you feel you have a different personality, lifestyle, a broader expertise then they're asking for, ideas for improvement, don't apply.
