About SVC2000
Geschiedenis
SVC2000 is als fusieclub opgericht op 1 juli 2000. Op deze datum fuseerden “Katholieke Sportvereniging Swift” (Swift) en “Sport Vereniging Victoria Roermond” (Victoria). Deze fusie vond plaats in het kader van de herstructurering van sportaccommodaties in Roermond.
Swift is de oudste van de twee verenigingen en werd oorspronkelijk opgericht op 29 maart 1936. Voor de fusie had Swift haar thuishaven op de plek waar nu het Designer Outlet Center staat, “Sportpark Stadsweide” in het centrum van Roermond. Victoria werd op 15 juli 1945 opgericht. Op 1 augustus 1971 is Victoria gefuseerd met Football Club Donderberg en is de vereniging verder gegaan onder de naam S.V. Victoria Roermond. Bij de fusie in 2000 was Victoria al ruim 25 jaar gehuisvest op de huidige locatie het sportpark “De Wijher” aan de Jagerstraat te Roermond.
